How weird, I checked out your blog to see your top post rock bands and seen you posted a video I re-edited for a Mogwai song. Thanks. Nice list though I’d still have the Gwai at the top. I understand what you said about the last album but it has Scotlands shame which is a serious tune. Nice site by the way.

Thanks Will. I was going to include Battles, but they’re a bit much for some people. Their drummer is pretty immense though.

Great list. I was looking for some new post rock to check out and your list was perfect. The ones I already knew about I liked, so am anxious to check out the rest. Good idea to point out a specific song, too; sometimes people will recommend a band to me and I go listen to an album and can’t get into it and then they tell me, “Oh that one wasn’t their best.” Good analysis/advice about Sigur Ros; it took me a long time to get into them, but it was worth the effort.

One band I would include on such a list is Battles. Other than them, I think you covered all the ones I’d choose.
